AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Residents kicked off St. Patrick's Day celebrations with a benefit concert for cancer survivors.

Survivor JourneysTM hosted the event at EB's in Agawam Tuesday night. Residents were treated to a night of music, including Dee Reilly and food.

And it was all for a good cause. Cindy Sheritan of Survivor JourneysTM told 22News events like Tuesday night's serve a greater purpose for program members.

"Well a lot of people that are going through treatments, they get the physical support from their doctors, but they need the emotional support, and that's what we offer here at Survivor JourneysTM," said Sheritan.

Tickets were $20 and all of the proceeds went toward Survivor JourneysTM.
