September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and we’d like your help raising the general public’s awareness of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
There is an alarming knowledge gap about blood cancers. Did you know...
- There are no means for preventing or screening for most blood cancers.
- Blood cancers are the third leading cancer killer of Americans.
- More than one-third of blood cancer patients still do not survive five years after their diagnosis.
- Every three minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
Thanks to the support of people like you, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has helped advance nearly every therapy used to treat blood cancer patients today. But we still need your help.
There are many ways that you can help us raise awareness of these diseases, from joining the conversation on social media by using #FightBloodCancer to taking part in a local Light The Night Walk or volunteering with a local LLS chapter. More than 65 years of fighting blood cancers has led us to a game changing belief. The cures for cancer are in our blood.

Halloween Gala — Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 6pm
Please join us for our 4th Annual Halloween Gala sponsored by TBD and the S. Prestley and Helen Blake Fund at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. The Gala will be held at Chez Josef in Agawam on Saturday, October 27th at 6:00. There will be great times to be had. The Halloween Gala is our signature annual event that spreads the word about Survivor Journeys and provides funding for our organization. There will be food, fun, raffles and dancing (if that's your thing).
